“The World on the Moon” once more

Received enthusiastically by audience and critics alike, the student interpretation of Joseph Haydn's opera "Il mondo della luna" directed by Eva Buchmann will hit the stage again, however in an unusual version! Fragments of recordings from the April performances as well as arias and duets sung live by the students will be continuously commented and discussed by Professor Piotr Miciński - Head of the Vocal Department - during two speaking concerts. The concerts combined with the lecture will be held on May 25th and 27th, (Wednesday and Friday) at 6 p.m. in the Chamber Hall of the University of Music in Łódź at 1 Maja Av. No. 4.
Admission free.

The concerts on Wednesday and Friday will begin with a performance of the overture recorded at the premiere in April. Then, young artists will sing arias and duets from the opera "Il mondo della luna" by Franz Joseph Haydn in a concert version. The speaking concerts will be performed by students who in April this year played the characters of Haydn's opera. The gullible and greedy Bonafede (Wojciech Sztyk), the cunning scientist Ecclitico (Dingson Li and Paweł Żak), the feisty servant Cecco (Gaston Efficace and Krzysztof Lachman) and the noble Ernesto (Magdalena Deptuła and Magdalena Halaba) will return to the stage. Elena Simopolou will again play Flaminia, the enamoured Clarice will be portrayed by Simona El-Sayed and Klaudia Kosik, and the role of the self-interested and charming Lisetta will be interpreted by Julia Anuszewska and Kinga Czech. In addition, the following will perform: Jan Cieplik, Hubert Stachura, Michał Słowikowski and Krzysztof Majka. Ewa Szpakowska and Maksymilian Piasecki will accompany the students at the piano.
